    Together, Alta Ski Resorts and Snowbird are named the second best  ski resorts in North America by Skiing Magazine for 2007 - 2008.

 What makes it a definite favorite with the locals? It's Deep powder environment, superb terrain, inexpensive lift tickets, only 25 miles from Salt Lake City, and NO SNOWBOARDS.  This adds up to a more relaxed and safe skiing experience.  Beautiful scenery and panoramic view surround Alta on all sides atop Little Cotton Canyon.

 Alta Ski Resort is a not frills, laid back, and peaceful little place where the skiing is taken seriously. All the best that Utah has to offer, like 2 ski-in / ski-out restaurants and a rental shop. Mot only dos it not allow snowboards, it is also off limits to snow mobiles.

Every level of skier will feel welcome at Alta. Beginners and Pros both will enjoy the variety of terrain and snow conditions making an excellent vacation spot for families no matter there level of experience. As if that wasn't enough... Alta has teamed up with Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort to combine there efforts and give skiers twice the terrain, twice the fun.

Alto / Snowbird can be found high atop Little Cotton Canyon. Approximately 45 minutes from Salt Lake Airport and 25 miles south east for Salt Lake City, right off HYW 210.
